Signing Tracker 2025

The following is a list of Toronto Rock signings since the official opening of NLL Free Agency.  Toronto Rock training camp will open on Saturday, November 1st at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, ON.

October 31, 2025

LF CJ Kirst signed to a three-year agreement.  CJ Kirst has it all.  He’s got loads of charisma and even more game to back it up.  He was the first overall pick in the 2025 NLL Draft and in due time could emerge as a franchise player for the Rock.  Rock City, get excited!  This guy is for REAL!

LF Nathan Grenon signed to a one-year agreement.  Grenon was signed as a UFA midway through last season and he was just what the Rock needed.  The injection of energy was certainly felt both on the floor and in the locker room.

October 30, 2025

LF Dakota Eierman signed to a three-year agreement.  The skilled offensive midfielder from Lehigh University hails from America’s hotbed of lacrosse in Maryland.  A late round pick, Eierman is a bit of a wild card but has all the tools necessary to push for a roster spot in a very competitive Rock camp.

LF Isiah Moran-Weekes signed to a three-year agreement.  Moran-Weekes starred for the Mimico Jr. A Mountaineers and continued his strong play into the Senior A ranks playing for the Owen Sound North Stars of Major Series Lacrosse (MSL).  He’s in a battle on a crowded left side of the offence but he’s got the drive and desire to make some noise at training camp.

RD TD Ierlan signed to a two-year agreement.  Faceoffs DO matter!  TD Ierlan is a very important piece of the Rock puzzle.  What he brings on the floor is definitely matched by what he brings off the floor as his dynamic personality makes him a big part of the Rock locker room.  Roster Update: the Rock have placed Ierlan on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List as he is recovering from injuries suffered during the PLL season.

October 29, 2025

RD Josh Jubenville signed to a three-year agreement.  Perhaps one of the most underrated defenders in the league, Jubenville brings athleticism and an intensity level that is tough to match.  His compete level is off the charts and while he doesn’t have a letter on his jersey, he certainly leads by way of his steady defensive play.

LF Owen Hiltz signed to a three-year agreement.  Some may have been surprised that the Rock selected Hiltz with the third overall pick but once you see Hiltz in action this season, those folks will be eating their keyboards.  His lacrosse lineage runs deep and he’s from Peterborough.  Owen Hiltz was born for this.

RD Brad Kri signed to a three-year agreement.  Even thought he’s regarded as one of the top defenders in the league, Brad Kri is probably still underrated.  Kri lays his body on the line every shift.  He’s a gamer and leader and it’s a big deal that he’s back in Rock City for the next two seasons.

LD Alex Messier signed to a three-year agreement.  He’s got all the qualities you want in a defender and then some.  The Rock drafted Messier in the 2024 NLL Draft right out of Jr. B with the Halton Hills Bulldogs.  The hard-nosed defender made the jump to Jr. A this past summer and was a key piece of the Orangeville Jr. A Northmen’s run to the Minto Cup Championship tournament.

LD Lucas Hucal signed to a three-year agreement.  Hucal has shown very well the past couple of summers playing for the Oakville Rock MSL squad under the watchful eye of Toronto Rock Head Coach Matt Sawyer who also coaches the summer Oakville squad.  Hucal will aim to build on his summer success at this year’s Rock camp.

LD Kobe Handsor signed to a three-year agreement.  Handsor has enjoyed a great deal of success at the Jr. A level with the Whitby Warriors and it was enough to make an impact on Rock scouts that they made him a 2025 NLL Draft pick.  Handsor will enter camp looking to earn a spot.

October 28, 2025

LF Dan Craig signed to a three-year agreement.  One of the Rock’s most valuable players is back in Rock City where he has spend his entire career.  To explain some of his value in hockey terms, if there was a Selke Trophy for the best defensive forward, Craig’s name would be all over it.

RF/RD Sam English signed to a three-year agreement.  Rock City, get excited for this dynamic individual.  He might be Challen Rogers 2.0, and not just because the two players were both selected second overall in their respective NLL Drafts.  English can get it done at both ends of the floor and will be an absolute menace coming out of the back end in transition.

October 27, 2025

RD Chris Weier signed to a three-year agreement.  Weier has established himself as a core piece of the Rock defensive group.  He’s the definition of a steady defender and somewhat surprisingly, he seemingly never misses when he has an offensive chance.  He’s definitely an unsung hero and he’s certainly comfortable wearing that tag.

LD Phil Mazzuca signed to a three-year agreement.  Mazzuca gives the Rock a bit of everything on the defensive side of the ball.  He’s a scrappy, reliable defender that can also make plays in transition and often at important moments in games.

October 26, 2025

LD Jake Darlison signed to a two-year agreement.  Darlison scored a goal in his NLL debut against the Georgia Swarm on Dec. 14, 2024 and has showed the poise of a veteran after being selected in the first round, 13th overall in the 2024 NLL Draft by the Toronto Rock.

RF Chris Boushy signed to a two-year agreement.  Boushy set career highs with 40 goals, 32 assists and 72 points in his second season with the Rock.  The passionate and gritty righty forward is primed and ready for another career year in 2025-26 with the Rock’s reloaded offence.

LD Ethan Fisher signed to a three-year agreement.  Fisher is a tenacious defender who was selected by the Rock in 5th round, 70th overall in the 2024 NLL Draft.  Unfortunately, Fisher tore his ACL during last year’s training camp and missed out on an opportunity to make the club.  The St. Catharines, ON native was around the team throughout last season and will be a full participant in training camp this year as he takes aim at a roster spot.

October 24, 2025

G Troy Holowchuk signed to a two-year agreement.  Holowchuk assumed the starters role after star veteran goalie Nick Rose was dealt to Calgary and played a career high 443 minutes with a 3-5 won-loss record and a 12.04 goals-against average and a .769 save percentage.

G Nick Rose signed a two-year agreement.  Rose was dealt to Calgary as part of a deal that brought the Roughnecks’ 2026 first round pick back the other way, which could be a coveted selection.  66 is the all-time Rock leader in goalie wins, saves, and minutes played and was the 2024 NLL Goaltender of the Year.  During that season he won the goalie-version of the triple crown – he had the lowest goals-against average, highest save percentage, and the most wins.  Undeniable.

October 23, 2025

RD Bill Hostrawser signed to a one-year agreement. Hostrawser is considered by many to be the heartbeat of the Toronto Rock.  A steady defender, and one of the toughest players in the NLL, Billy contributes in so many ways that don’t always show up on the scoresheet.
