Toronto Rock Night of Champions to honour minor la

TORONTO – Players from 24 provincial championship teams will be honoured by the Toronto Rock when they begin defence of the NLL championship at the Air Canada Centre against the Arizona Sting on Saturday Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are still available online at ticketmaster.ca or in person at the ACC box office between 9:30 a.m. and gametime today.

Toronto defeated the Sting in the 2005 championship game in front of a sold out Air Canada Centre, 19-13 on May 14.

All players from 2005 Ontario provincial box lacrosse championship teams will participate in a Parade of Champions just prior to the pre-game ring ceremony and presentation of the 2005 NLL Championship banner.

“This is a great opportunity for the Rock to honour future stars of the game and give them an unforgettable experience,” said Rock player and Ontario Lacrosse Association technical director Chris Driscoll. “And we hope we can feed off their support in our first game of the season.”

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Air Canada Centre Ticket Office or through Ticketmaster by calling 416-596-3075 or visiting www.ticketmaster.ca
