What to watch for vs. Albany FireWolves

A Matchup Of Two Of The League’s Best

Albany, NY – The Toronto Rock (12-3) are on the road tonight to face the Albany FireWolves (10-5) at MVP Arena in Albany, NY.  A Rock win means they will finish no worse than second in the NLL’s overall standings at season’s end.

Fans can watch the game vs. Albany at 7:00pm ET on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game, you need a TSN+ subscription.

Here’s what to watch for in Saturday’s matchup.

  • Nick Rose (105) can move into 1st place in all-time Rock victories with a win tonight passing Bob Watson (105). Recently, Rose passed Watson for top spot in all-time Rock saves.
  • The Rock made several roster moves leading into this weekend, the most significant of which was certainly the move of Challen Rogers to the Active Roster from the Injured Reserve List. Rogers has missed six games after suffering an upper body injury in the Rock’s 16-11 win over New York on February 16 in Montreal, QC.
  • With San Diego’s win last night, the Rock can no longer clinch the NLL’s top playoff seed this weekend. However, they need a win tonight to move closer to clinching the league’s top seed and home floor throughout the playoffs.  A win also assures the Rock will finish ahead of the FireWolves in the final standings and no lower than second.
  • Corey Small is just 4 assists shy of 500 in his career. The gifted scorer is also closing in on 900 career points and is just 18 shy of that mark.  Only 18 players in NLL history have reached the 900-point plateau.
  • INJURY REPORT: Brandon Slade is on the IR with a lower body injury. Latrell Harris and Chase Schiavon remain on the PUP List.
  • Next weekend, the Rock return home to face Rochester for the NLL Game of the Week on TSN. It’s the Rock’s final regular season home game and Fan Appreciation Night.

Fans should also check out the latest episode of Rock City Unplugged, streaming now on the Rock’s YouTube Channel and on TSN+.

Get primed for tonight’s game with the latest episode of the Toronto Rock Total Access podcast.  This week it’s Rock goaltender and NLL MVP candidate Nick Rose stopping by.
