What to watch for vs. Buffalo Bandits

Huge Opportunity for the Rock versus archrivals

Hamilton, ON – The Toronto Rock (5-0) will battle the Buffalo Bandits (3-3) on Saturday night at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, ON.  The Rock can run their record to 6-0 with a win and in the process push the Bandits’ record to below .500.

Fans can watch the game vs. Buffalo at 7:00pm ET on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game, you need a TSN+ subscription.

Here’s what to watch for in Saturday’s matchup.

  • Following morning shoot around, the Rock moved Tom Schreiber to the Active Roster and he is available to make his season debut tonight. In 15 career games against the Bandits, Schreiber has 30 goals and 74 points.
  • The Bandits have eliminated the Rock from the playoffs in each of the last three seasons. Every time these two teams get together, it feels like there’s a lot on the line, regardless of when that meeting takes place.
  • Inlcuding last year’s two-game playoff series win, the Bandits won four of the five head-to-head meetings with the Rock. Toronto’s only win last season over Buffalo was a 17-8 home win on April 1, 2023.
  • Dan Lintner (5 for 300), Brad Kri (5 for 900), and Mitch de Snoo (6 for 900) are each closing in on loose ball milestones.
  • With 1 assist, Mark Matthews can pass Rhys Duch for 12th in all-time NLL assists. And, he’s just 6 assists shy of passing Gavin Prout for 11th.
  • Century Club? Nick Rose needs just 1 win to join Matt Vinc, Pat O’Toole, Bob Watson and Mike Poulin in the Century Club with 100 or more career wins.
  • Injury Report: Chris Corbeil (UBI), Josh Jubenville (UBI) and TD Ierlan (UBI) are all listed as OUT for tonight’s game. Tom Schreiber (LBI) is listed as questionable for tonight’s game.
  • The Rock will hit the road next weekend to face the NLL’s reigning MVP Christian Del Bianco and the Calgary Roughnecks on Saturday night at 9pm ET for the NLL Game of the Week!
